Mincron Software Systems, whose technology solutions include: ERP, Warehouse Automation, and eCommerce Applications. These products are currently available in RPG. Mincron recognized the need to modernize and convert its large RPG application into an independent platform solution. The software is comprised of 2.5 million lines of RPG III and RPG IV code. Mincron did extensive research on the options that were readily available to them, but found no solution available that would allow them to achieve the required ROI. What Mincron did next was develop a translation tool and framework known as JENASYS® that allowed them to convert their 2.5 millions lines of RPG code into EJB’s in just less than four months and its product HDX was successfully beta tested and is now being offered as its premier distribution product.

Jenasys® has a proven track record of converting one million lines of RPG to Java in 120 days. In fact, Mincron’s Java Development team performed a truly daunting task using a third party’s 27-step script; translate Cool2E (previously known as Synon Case Tool), produced code into Java. Within less than two weeks, the code was flawlessly translated, demonstrating that the JENASYS Translation Suite not only outperforms, but also proves its ability to easily adapt to different types of generated code.
